The major Indian telecoms company Airtel has announced a partnership with the national branch of Samsung which will see further promotion of 4G services in India. This should help the South Korean company to progress further in the Indian market for smartphones through promotion of appealing 4G-compatible handsets like the Samsung S6 and S6 Edge.
The S6 and S6 Edge were both released in the South Asian country only last month, but are likely to sell well due to impressive features including metal and glass bodies, a 1440×2560-pixel screen resolution, and 16-megapixel rear camera. The Edge model, pictured above, includes all of these features along with beautifully curved left- and right-hand screen edges.
Upon the initial announcement of these phones for India back in March, Samsung cited India as a “very very significant market”. Samsung will, therefore, be delighted with the Airtel partnership, as it will see the two companies advertising each others’ 4G offerings.
