The Samsung Portable SSD T3, a palm-sized external solid state drive of up to 2TB storage and compatible with Mac, Windows and Android devices, has just become available for purchase.
Many users of such devices have become accustomed to storing their data using cloud services like Apple’s iCloud and Microsoft’s OneDrive rather than an external physical drive of their own. Nonetheless, they could be tempted by this new drive’s use of vertical NAND (V-NAND) technology, which allows for speedy transfer of data across different devices.
The Samsung Portable SSD T3 has already picked up several accolades, including being named as an honoree for the 2016 CES Innovation Awards in the Wireless Handset Accessories category, since it was announced at CES 2016. The drive comes in 250GB, 500GB, 1TB and 2TB capacities and, priced from $129.99, is available for purchase from the Samsung website and key retailers.
