Samsung Releases Special 128GB Galaxy Note 5 in South Korea

Samsung has given its homeland, South Korea, a special treat for Christmas: a Winter Special Edition of the Galaxy Note 5, which brings 128GB internal storage to the popular handset for the first time.

Supposedly marketed at consumers whose only sore point with the Note 5 had been its previous storage limit of 64GB, the Galaxy Note 5 Winter Special Edition is, as reported by Yahoo! Finance, available in the colors of Gold Platinum and Silver Titanium and priced at 999,900 won ā€“ thatā€™s $850 ā€“ through the national carriers SKT and KT.

With Christmas Day now just a few days away, it seems sensible to assume that Samsung wonā€™t be unveiling this Winter Special Edition smartphone outside South Korea soon. However, it remains unclear whether the electronics giant will bring out a standard 128GB version of the Galaxy Note 5 ā€“ whether just in South Korea or more broadly.
