Sept. 12 Event Hints at Taller iPhone

Apple has made the front of the Yerba Buena center very colorful. In preparation of the September 12 event where the new iPhone 5 is expected to be introduced, Apple has decorated the center in thin, colorful stripes. It's quite striking.

Some at MacRumors have figured out that this design is probably the result of several stretched icons. And why would Apple be interested in stretching icons and making them taller? Because the iPhone 5 is expected to be taller, of course. If you stare at it long enough, you can kind of see it. Even if that's the case, it still has to be several very colorful apps to get this.

It's not like they needed the extra hype or anything. There's already been much attention paid to the event and what will possibly be introduced. They just ended up attracting even more attention, which is of course Apple's M.O.

After all of this, though, I hope Apple is using it for more than just a building decoration. Maybe it will be a design for iOS 6 packaging.
