On the latest episode of his show This Week On Xbox, Microsoft insider Major Nelson has revealed that numerous Microsoft Studios games for both Xbox One and Xbox 360 will soon get temporary discounts.
Major Nelson, the Director of Programming for Xbox Live and whose real name is Larry Hryb, revealed on yesterday’s outing for his video show that these discounts are coming as part of a sale that will run from Tuesday, May 3 through Monday, May 9.
According to Nelson, all of the participating Xbox 360 titles will have backwards compatibility with the Xbox One, while the sale will offer even more deals for Xbox Live Gold members. The price cuts will range from 50% to 57%, so there will be the possibility of huge cash savings!
MSPoweruser has posted the full list of games so far confirmed for inclusion in the sale; the most notable titles here include Halo 5, Gears of War Ultimate Edition and Rise of the Tomb Raider.
Xbox gamers will have to wait a little longer to learn what other games will be available in the sale. It is also unclear whether any of the confirmed titles will be available solely to Xbox Live Gold members, but what we currently know about the sale already seems very promising indeed.
