Sexy and Durable iMpkt iPhone 5 Case

A gentleman named Ben Lang from Salt Lake City has been pouring his heart and soul into creating the perfect iPhone case. He wanted ultimate protection along with a sexy sleek look. The result is iMpkt Extreme Protection iPhone 5 case built with aircraft grade aluminum, and what sets his product apart from the competitor is the price point of under $100. This is his first Kickstarter project and he is looking for support in the sum of $80,000.

” I am excited to announce one of the first produced aluminum cases for the iPhone 5. I have scrutinized its design over and over to make sure that fit and finish is of the highest quality. I also wanted to make sure that its function is up to par. The iPhone 5 has met its match in beauty and construction.”

I remember looking for a case for my iPhone 4S that had great looks as well as great protection because I am one clumsy guy. Most cases I found were either ugly as sin or would cost almost as much as my phone itself. The iMpkt case immediately caught my eye, and it boasts a crushing point of 2350 psi (pounds per square inch) and a feather weight of 1.73 ounces (5.68 ounces with iPhone 5).

For a mere $89.00 donation, you will receive an iMpkt case with a limited edition bead blast finish with clear anodize, a similar look to most Apple products. If the project is fully funded, the case will be available in black, lime green, blue, red, and clear.

Ben explained the machines he uses to produce the case had a price tag of $750,000 each. The fact that he is able to keep the price of this case so low is amazing. The majority of the funding he is seeking will be spent on usage of the machine shop facility and hiring people to promote the product.

The moment I saw the this case I immediately wanted to show the AppleMagazine audience that there is an affordable, sexy, and durable case for the iPhone 5. If the campaign is successful, the target delivery date of the product is late November to December 2012.
