Back in February, Instagram launched a new gallery feature that allowed you to share multiple photos or videos within one post. However, posts shared into the gallery had to be cropped into squares to fit the carousel. That is, up until now.
The company shared on Twitter that users now have the ability to share photos and videos in portrait or landscape formats meaning that you no longer have to crop photos or make multiple posts to preserve the original content.
Although this new feature has not rolled out to all Instagram users just yet, it should be going live today. This is only one of the recent updates from the site after the introduction of threaded comments and a comment filter that automatically blocks offensive comments and spam from your posts. The platform is also testing a two-person video stream for Instagram Live.
Happy posting!
