Apple Watch enthusiasts can look forward to substantial changes with the upcoming watchOS 10, as reported by Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman. The next major version of watchOS is set to introduce significant user interface updates and will be officially announced at the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) in June this year.

In recent years, watchOS design has seen minimal changes, with enhancements primarily focused on activity tracking and a few new watch faces. However, Gurman anticipates that watchOS 10 will break the mold, bringing a comprehensive upgrade and substantial user interface alterations.

This news is particularly thrilling for Apple Watch users, as it contrasts with this year’s relatively minor hardware improvements. Gurman previously noted that iOS 17 will include some pleasant features, while a more significant Apple Watch hardware update is anticipated for next year.

Given that this year’s Apple Watch hardware updates are expected to be minor, it is crucial for watchOS to make a strong impression. The first Apple Watch featuring a micro-LED display is predicted to launch next year, but in the meantime, Apple has released its latest round of betas, including macOS 13.4 for Mac.

Apple is also rumored to be working on a new Mac Pro with an M2 Ultra chip and new MacBook Air models with an M3 chip. Gurman stated that macOS 13.4 will support these new Macs, with a public release likely in May.

Although specifics about watchOS 10 changes remain limited, it is expected that Apple will concentrate on enhancing the user experience and introducing new features to make the Apple Watch even more essential. Improvements to health and fitness tracking features, a key selling point of the Apple Watch, are also anticipated.

Since its 2015 debut, the Apple Watch has evolved significantly, and watchOS 10 is expected to make it even more capable and user-friendly.
