Fans of the infinite runner Sonic Dash will be delighted to know that the sequel, Sonic Dash 2: Sonic Boom, is now available to freely download for iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch.
Experienced players of the first game will already be familiar with the new game’s fundamental mechanics, which involve playing as the iconic blue hedgehog Sonic or one of his pals and rushing through colorful and imaginative worlds, along the way picking up rings and other goodies and dispatching enemies.
One major difference with Sonic Dash 2, however, is that it is based heavily on the popular children’s animated series Sonic Boom. As a result, many of the characters have been redesigned – with Sonic, for instance, now sporting a scarf and gloves and his fox sidekick Tails wearing goggles.
Nonetheless, adult fans of surely the world’s least characteristic hedgehog shouldn’t be deterred – especially as the game has already attracted high ratings and favorable reviews from gamers on its App Store page. Sonic might be blue, but that’s one color you certainly shouldn’t be feeling…
