Lego Dimensions, the successful toy and videogame hybrid, will get a lot of new – but very familiar – faces between now and next summer. A succession of 16 new expansion packs will see blockbuster franchises including Sonic The Hedgehog, Harry Potter and The A-Team joining the party.
It will kick off on September 27, 2016, when Ghostbusters, Adventure Time, Mission: Impossible and The A-Team packs will arrive. Further packs, none of which requiring a new starter pack, will be based on properties including The Lego Batman Movie, Knight Rider, The Powerpuff Girls, Beetlejuice, Gremlins and E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial and arrive in “product waves stretching into summer of next year.”
That’s a huge amount for Lego fans to look forward to – and, as an extra treat, they can check out Love You to Death, the just-released eighth studio album from Tegan and Sara, the Canadian pop duo behind “Everything Is Awesome”, the lead song from The Lego Movie’s soundtrack.
