Steve Wozniak to be Featured Speaker at Local Search Association Annual Conference

The Local Search Association announced that Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak will be the featured speaker at the 2014 Local Search Association Conference, April 27-29, in Huntington Beach, Calif.

According to a release, a Silicon Valley icon and philanthropist for more than thirty years, Wozniak helped shape the computing industry by co-founding Apple Computer Inc. with Steve Jobs and designing Apple’s first line of products, the Apple I and II, as well as influencing the development of Macintosh.

“Steve Wozniak is one of the most influential technology pioneers of the modern era and a leading voice on driving innovation and ingenuity in our society,” said Neg Norton, president of the Local Search Association. “Wozniak’s insights on how changing digital and mobile technology will shape consumer purchasing behavior will be extremely beneficial to our attendees as they explore strategies for tackling the fast-growing, multi-billion dollar opportunity in local markets.”

The 45-minute featured conversation with Wozniak will explore a variety of topics, including:

-The founding of Apple Computer Inc.

-The intersection of future technologies, including mobile and wearable devices, and local marketing opportunities for national and small- and medium-sized businesses

-The defining characteristics of an entrepreneur, and the role of an entrepreneur within a large company

-Ways to nurture creativity within organizations

Wozniak will headline the Local Search Association conference, to be held at Hyatt Regency Huntington Beach in California. The jam- packed three-day event will feature an agenda of speakers and panelists from across the digital, mobile and print local advertising landscape, in sessions coordinated by Street Fight, Mobile Media Summit and other local media analysts. The conference will also feature an Expo Hall, an awards ceremony, and opportunities for professional networking at nightly cocktail receptions.
