Stevie Wonder Stars in New Christmas-Themed Apple Advert

After having shared its online holiday gift guide, Apple has today posted its new Christmas advert, starring soul legend Stevie Wonder singing his 1967 classic “Someday At Christmas”, to its YouTube channel.

Unsurprisingly, various Apple products, including the MacBook and Apple Watch, appear as Wonder sings among festive decorations and along with contemporary soul singer Andra Day and some exited children. However, the main focus is very much on Wonder and the music.

In fact, the appearances of the Apple products, including the audio-mixing software GarageBand, are almost subliminal – with the “Love, Apple” sign off and final appearance of the familiar Apple logo more obviously marking it out as an Apple advert.

Though Apple itself has not publicly revealed any specific plans for this new advert, it seems sensible to keep an eye on the TV commercial breaks for further appearances of it over the festive period.
