The global availability of Apple Music has just expanded a little further, now that Apple has launched the music streaming service, including the usual three-month free trial, in the Asian market of South Korea.
News of the launch was made public by Apple Music’s Twitter account and Apple’s website for the East Asian territory. After using up the free trial, customers in South Korea can pay a monthly charge of $7.99 for an individual membership or $11.99 for a family plan covering up to six people.

These are, of course, the prices converted into US currency. They are slightly lower than the respective $9.99 and $14.99 prices that the Cupertino company charges in its native market – and this discrepancy, says AppleInsider, is due to licensing deals struck in Korea and other economic factors.
