Singer Taylor Swift has become something of a poster girl for Apple Music in recent months – and, now, it turns out that the “Shake It Off” hitmaker will feature heavily in further promotions for the music streaming service in the approaching weeks and months.
Last June, following Swift’s attack on Apple for its decision not to pay artists during the initial free trial period of Apple Music, the Cupertino firm swiftly reversed the policy. Later that year, in a further sign that the rift had healed, Swift decided to post a live concert video exclusively for Apple Music subscribers.
On Friday, Swift posted a now widely-viewed Apple Music ad in which, becoming distracted when listening to streamed music on her iPhone, she… well, you can watch the humorous spot for yourself.

Now, AdWeek – which conversed with Larry Jackson, Apple Music’s head of content – reports that “two additional spots with Swift are planned over the coming weeks, and the singer will also star in a bigger Apple Music campaign in the next few months.”
Further details are thin on the ground; however, Anthony Mandler, who directed the current ad, said that the two small follow-ups would further the idea that the viewer is part of Swift’s world. He explained that the ads will use “a camera that sits back and watches things unfold.”
