Disney’s Star Wars projects are quite active recently. Not so long ago, we’ve had the pleasure of watching Star Wars: Visions, an anthology anime series that blew our minds. Now, with a lot of projects underway, including a remake of the legendary Knights of the Old Republic video games, we’re pleased to announce that Disney+ has revealed some new information about another heavily-awaited show – The Book of Boba Fett. Namely, along with releasing the show’s first official poster – showcasing the titular bounty hunter – Disney has also revealed the premiere date for the show and it’s December 29, 2021! This means that we’re going to get a glimpse into the world of Boba Fett before the year is over!

Disney+ serie ‘The Mandalorian’ | Boba Fett appearance

Disney+’s official synopsis for the show gives us the following information: “The Book of Boba Fett, a thrilling Star Wars adventure, finds legendary bounty hunter Boba Fett and mercenary Fennec Shand navigating the Galaxy’s underworld when they return to the sands of Tatooine to stake their claim on the territory once ruled by Jabba the Hutt and his crime syndicate.”

Now, the show, although a stand-alone series, is actually a sort of spin-off from The Mandalorian, which has begun production on season three of the show and will see Temuera Morrison (as Boba Fett) and Ming-Na Wen (as Fennec Shand) reprise their roles from the Pedro Pascal-led show. Jon Favreau, Dave Filoni, Robert Rodriguez (who actually directed the Mandalorian episode featuring Boba Fett’s return to the franchise), Kathleen Kennedy, and Colin Wilson will serve as the executive producers of The Book of Boba Fett, while Karen Gilchrist and Carrie Beck serve as co-executive producers. John Bartnicki produces the show, while John Hampian is a co-producer.

When asked about the new show, Robert Rodriguez said the following: “I’ve got so much to tell you about that, but I’m out of time. Yeah, I can’t say anything about that, sworn to silence. I can say I’m working on it and I can tell you it’s gonna blow your mind. You saw him arrive in my episode of The Mandalorian, that was nothing. That was nothing. I can talk it up all I want because I know it’s gonna deliver, I know it’s gonna over-deliver.”

The Book of Boba Fett hits Disney+ on December 29, 2021, and we really can’t wait for the premiere!
