‘The Book of Boba Fett’ debuts first official trailer

The Book of Boba Fett, a Star Wars spin-off series that focuses on the famed titular bounty hunter, is a series we have already written about, announcing its premiere on Disney+ on December 29, 2021, just before the end of this calendar year. Boba Fett has made his spectacular return in the critically acclaimed The Mandalorian, with Temuera Morrison taking over the role after he had player Jango Fett in the Original Trilogy. Now, with the preparation for the show’s debut, we finally have a first official trailer for the show and here it is.

The trailer reveals some plot details, telling us that Boba Fett will have the difficult task of taking over Jabba’s criminal empire in a Godfather-like fashion. The production quality seems to be on par with The Mandalorian and it seems that we are also in for a lot of thrills in Disney’s new Star Wars series. Along with the trailer, Disney also released this official synopsis:

“‘The Book of Boba Fett,’ a thrilling Star Wars adventure teased in a surprise end-credit sequence following the Season 2 finale of “The Mandalorian,” finds legendary bounty hunter Boba Fett and mercenary Fennec Shand navigating the galaxy’s underworld when they return to the sands of Tatooine to stake their claim on the territory once ruled by Jabba the Hutt and his crime syndicate.

“The Book of Boba Fett” stars Temuera Morrison and Ming-Na Wen. Jon Favreau, Dave Filoni, Robert Rodriguez, Kathleen Kennedy, and Colin Wilson are the executive producers. Karen Gilchrist and Carrie Beck serve as co-executive producers, with John Bartnicki producing and John Hampian as co-producer.”

As you can see, the production crew behind the show includes Mandalorian alumni Favreau and Filoni, joined by directing legend Robert Rodriguez, and, of course, Kathleen Kennedy on the team as well. Starring alongside Morrison will be Ming-Na Wen, whom we have also seen in The Mandalorian on more than occasion. From what we can infer, The Book of Boba Fett is going to be a brilliant show and we cannot wait until December 29, 2021, for the show to debut.
