After much speculation and wishful thinking from fans, Naughty Dog has finally come forward and confirmed that the acclaimed The Last Of Us will be getting a sequel.
The revelation came from the recent PlayStation Experience event held in Anaheim, California, along with many other upcoming titles including Uncharted: The Lost Legacy, Ni No Kuni 2 and Horizon Zero Dawn.
The teaser shows Ellie in a house full of dead bodies playing her guitar and softly singing while covered in blood before the Joel makes an appearance.
Few details have been shared about the game so far, with only this teaser trailer getting showcased. Creative director Neil Druckmann gave very sparse details but spoke about who players are going to control in the next game.
“Joel was the star in the first, Ellie is the star in this one,” he told the audience of PlayStation Experience, claiming that she will play different to her companion Joel and add new depth to the already beloved gameplay of The Last Of Us.
Fans will most likely not see the full release of TLOU 2 for quite some time, but it’s great to see it finally set in stone.
