Apple’s corporate employees are expected to return to the company’s offices from April 11. Ahead of that date, Apple has released a video on YouTube, touting the benefits of working from home and showing its devices and services can help workers “find a way, in the office or not.”
The Underdogs team, from Apple’s famous July 2020 work-from-home video, makes a return, but this time they have been forced back to the office, in the tech giant’s nine-minute short Escape from the Office.
In the film, the Underdogs are seen trying to evade the clutches of their “evil boss”, quitting their jobs and setting out on a new business venture. Along the way, they are assisted by Apple’s various products and services, including Mac, iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, the new Apple Business Essentials platform, and an assortment of business apps.
We see Apple’s iPhone 13 being used to “get the team together”, the iPad being used for signing contracts and sketching out business plans, and of course, the Mac for day-to-day tasks.
Apple plans a hybrid pilot for its corporate workers when they do come back to their offices from next month, giving them the chance to spend some time during the week in their offices, and the rest of the time working flexibly from home, if they wish.
