Twitter bringing Spaces feature to web

Twitter

Twitter is bringing a number of iOS-only features to the web.

Over the past 18 months, the social network has been experimenting with a number of exciting new features to improve its user experience, including Spaces, a Clubhouse-style audio-only platform where users can chat with celebrities, fans, and like-minded individuals about a range of topics.

Now, it appears the firm is bringing Spaces to the web, alongside the ability to subscribe to newsletters sent through Twitter’s new Revue newsletter service.

As first discovered by Nima Owji, who has a proven track record for announcing Twitter features that could be coming soon, Twitter will add Spaces and Newsletter signups to the web in the coming weeks. A new Tab will be added to the sidebar of the Twitter website, making it easier to discover live and scheduled spaces not only from your followers, but for other Spaces and groups from creators on the platform, which could be great news for discoverability.

Right now, it’s hard to find Spaces – Twitter will only highlight Spaces from accounts that you follow. The changes will no doubt help users find more Spaces and better utilize the platform.
