Twitter Gives T-Mobile CEO John Legere His Own Cartoon Emoji

How do you know that youโ€™ve truly โ€œarrivedโ€? These days, itโ€™s probably when youโ€™ve got your own emoji โ€“ and Twitter has just debuted a new emoji resembling social media savvy T-Mobile boss John Legere.

The CEO of the third largest wireless carrier in the United States makes extensive use of Twitter, having often even interacted directly with his companyโ€™s customers. According to CNNMoney, his dedication to the social media site has so impressed Twitter that it has now given him a cute emoji in his image.

From today, the cartoon picture of a grinning John Legere, complete with trademark lengthy locks, will appear in a tweet whenever the hashtag #tweetjohn is used. Referring to the emoji, Legere has remarked: โ€œIโ€™m going to take some ribbing from my friends, but it definitely makes me look 20 years younger.โ€ How much longer, we wonder, before it appears on the iOS emoji keyboard?
