You don’t have to be Batman to enjoy being shrouded in darkness – and, in recognition of this, Twitter has given its iPhone and iPad apps a new “night mode” which produces a much darker user interface.
Night mode is easy to switch on in the Twitter iOS app; just hit the Me tab, tap the gear icon to the right of your username, and then tap “Turn on night mode”. You can later, whenever you wish, switch it off by tapping that gear icon again and then “Turn off night mode”.
Rolling out today – we're bringing night mode to iOS! 🌙 https://t.co/XxNZHQdth9 pic.twitter.com/WLwKi4H0Oe

As you can see from our screenshot, this mode casts the interface in dark hues that could put less strain on your eyes in low-light environments. You could also grow to prefer it should you view it on an iOS device with black bezels, as the app colors would visually blend in, rather than contrast, with them.
The Twitter app is free to download for iPhone and iPad from the iOS App Store.
