Twitter has launched its new Super Follow feature.
The social network will now allow users to subscribe to individual creators to access subscriber-only content, serving as the company’s alternative to platforms like Patreon and OnlyFans.
The company first announced the feature in February of this year, designed to keep creators on the platform and stop them from joining rival paid-for platforms. It’s also an opportunity for the social network to unlock new revenue streams in a competitive landscape, with Twitter lagging behind other networks in terms of monetization.

Creators who want to use the new Super Follow feature can charge users $2.99, $4.99, or $9.99 per month, and they’ll keep up to 97% of revenue. When users earn $50,000 in revenue, Twitter will take a 20% cut, with users earning 80% after in-app purchase fees.
Right now, Super Follows are available for a small number of content creators who applied to be beta testers, but anyone can apply to join the waiting list. You’ll need at least 10,000 followers to be eligible for the program, and there’s no date yet when Twitter will officially roll out the new feature to every creator on the platform.
