Twitter Partners with Lookup for Online Shopping in India

Twitter has announced, for users in India, a new partnership with the chat app Lookup to ease online shopping for both retailers and customers. It’s a unique initiative which will allow users to both research and buy products through the medium of online chat.

In India, Lookup gives users an alternative to web browsing and multiple apps for conducting their online shopping. Furthermore, retailers can get online with less fuss; they can simply get an account with Lookup before customers can send orders and enquiries through the chat app.

As part of Lookup’s new deal with Twitter, however, even the app won’t be necessary; the social network’s members in Delhi NCR, Bangalore, Mumbai and Pune can now Tweet or send a Direct Message to the Twitter account @lookuplite to start their custom with businesses.
