As the saying goes, the world is a book and those who do not travel read only one page. Well, Google is now making it easier for both iOS and Android users to turn plenty of pages, thanks to the launch of Google Trips – a new vacation planning app that lets you more speedily prepare many aspects of a journey.
In a post on its official blog, Google calls the app “a personalized tour guide in your pocket”, with large amounts of useful information including day plans, things to do, what to eat and drink, and more all available – even offline, provided you save a trip by hitting the “Download” button beneath it.
Google Trips includes appealing day plans for the world’s top 200 cities, while you can also plan your day around particular attractions; it’s easy, for example, to see what’s on offer near Barcelona’s Sagrada Família. The app can even gather all of your flight, car, hotel and restaurant reservations from Gmail, sparing you the ordeal of having to pore through loads of emails looking for them yourself.
Google Trips is now available for free from the iOS App Store and Google Play. On iOS, the app is optimized only for iPhone, with no iPad-friendly version yet available.
