The major carrier Verizon is set to give customers a double dose of Samsung, following news that it will offer both the mobile payments service Samsung Pay and new wearable the Samsung Gear S2.
Though Verizon had already announced its support for Samsung Pay earlier this month, it is much more recently that it has actually started rolling out the service. Droid Life has been informed by its readers that Verizon is issuing the relevant updates for its customers who have a Samsung Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6 Edge, Galaxy S6 Edge+ or Galaxy Note 5.
If you are one of these customers but don’t see an update available, continue checking regularly. These updates for these Galaxy devices appear to have been confirmed by a leaked internal screenshot from Verizon posted on Reddit, but the screenshot does not cite a specific launch date.
Also, Verizon has itself recently confirmed that smartwatch the Samsung Gear S2 is now available for pre-order from the mobile network provider. Samsung’s answer to the Apple Watch will become available for purchase from November 9 and be priced at $349.99 or, with a new two-year activation, $299.99. Current Verizon customers can also add the timepiece to their account for an extra $5 monthly charge.
