Video of Alleged Demo Unit of 4-Inch “iPhone 6C” Appears

M.I.C. Gadget has posted a video of what is claims is an early demo unit of the rumored 4-inch “iPhone 6C”. However, you shouldn’t expect any big surprises with the handset’s design…

Judging from the phone in the video, the “iPhone 6C” will basically just look like the iPhone 6S, except smaller. The appearance of a Touch ID sensor backs up reports that the device will come with Apple Pay compatibility; however, the design’s such strong familiarity has prompted speculation that what is being cradled here is not the purported “iPhone 6C” after all

Nonetheless, M.I.C. Gadget claims that this unit was sourced from the Foxconn factory. Furthermore, several images leaked at the end of last year by veteran tech leaker Steve Hemmerstoffer, editor of nowhereelse.fr, also hint that the new 4-inch iPhone will strongly resemble the current iPhone 6 series.

These earlier images, in our view, have a greater whiff of authenticity than the new video. The Touch ID sensor looks larger in relation to the screen, resulting in a more convincing depiction of a 4-inch model.

Whatever your own opinion of the images and video, reports have suggested that the “iPhone 6C” will be revealed at a special event in March. News regarding the device’s specs have been contradictory; while an A9 chip and 2GB of RAM have been mooted, an A8 processor and 1GB of RAM have been most recently posited.
