The annual WWDC Bash is a big highlight of the Worldwide Developers Conference for music-loving attendees, and Apple has announced a suitably big name act for this year’s Bash: the indie rock band Walk the Moon. They will perform later today and are likely to leave many attendees, well, over the moon.
This year’s WWDC Bash will take place on Thursday, June 11 at San Francisco’s Yerba Buena Gardens, from the local time – Pacific Daylight Time – of 6pm. The event is open for all WWDC attendees aged 18 years or older, who are likely to be able to see Walk the Moon performing their biggest hits including ‘Shut Up and Dance’ – their most successful song yet – and ‘Anna Sun’.
Apple has already shown the band “some love”, as Walk the Moon phrased it on their own Twitter page this week, at WWDC. ‘Shut Up and Dance’ was played during the presentation of Apple Music on Monday, and the band tweeted thanks and congratulations for Apple afterwards.
Apple has, aptly, invited developers at the conference to “program yourself to party”, and is also offering WWDC attendees a couple of free Walk the Moon songs to get them excited for the Bash. Here’s to a fun evening for everyone going to see Walk the Moon perform.
