Watch SpaceX launch Koreasat-5A on a Falcon 9 rocket live

Today at 3:34 PM EDT (12:34 PM PDT), SpaceX will be launching a commercial communications satellite for KT Sat, South Korea’s lone satellite service provider. The launch window will extend for two hours, so it could take place at any time between then and 5:58 PM EDT. As usual, this will depend on conditions.

The launch will put the Koreasat-5A satellite into geostationary orbit, replacing the older Koreasat-5. SpaceX will also be attempting to recover the first stage of the Falcon 9 which will be used during the mission via a landing at sea in the Atlantic Ocean aboard its “Of Course I Still Love You” drone ship. You’ll be able to watch this live after the initial launch.

The launch will be SpaceX’s 16th of the year, demonstrating just how much the company has achieved in terms of the frequency of its launches.
