What to Expect from Apple in 2024 Apple remains one of the biggest companies in the world. From a stock market point of view, Apple keeps its place as a member of the ‘magnificent seven’ and it looks certain that Apple will continue to go from strength to strength as we head into 2024.

The investment research firm Wedbush has boldly stated that Apple will become the first ever $4 trillion company in 2024. Apple notched a $3 trillion valuation earlier this year, but there are certain factors which may stop Apple’s growth in 2024. To begin with, Apple’s shift away from China.

Shifting Away from China

However, America’s strained relationship with China in 2023 looks like it will continue into 2024 and this is expected to have a negative effect on Apple. China has banned its officials from using iPhones and the USA has limited the exports of certain technology components to China. Apple has already begun shifting its operations away from China due to the ongoing unrest and it is repeatedly looking likely that India is going to take over the reins from China.

According to Yahoo Finance, Apple is currently in the process of moving its iPad product-development from China to Vietnam too, so the market really is shifting.

Advancements in Tech & Apple Pay

It goes without saying that Apple will continue to push the limits when it comes to technological innovations. In order to stay on top of the competition, it is imperative for Apple to continue to be the trailblazers. As technology improves, users generally look for new experiences and they expect more and more. We hope that the Apple engineers continue to push the boundaries in the years to come.

Speaking of pushing the boundaries, Apple Pay is now probably only behind PayPal as the most used payment option online. An ever-increasing number of online platforms now allow their users to make payments using Apple Pay including Amazon and there are now dozens of online casinos accepting Apple Pay payments online. With that being said, Apple Pay is now widely used at high street retailers as users can pay using their mobile phone which can be connected directly to a user’s Apple Pay account.

The release was a fairly hefty one with one of the main highlights being that iPhone users are now able to record 3D video.

Apple Emoji

Are we about to say goodbye to Apple’s nerd emoji? If one 10 year old from the UK has his way, then that could be exactly what happens. Teddy Cottle has urged Apple to change the nerd emoji as he says that it is demeaning to children who wear glasses. The petition he created online has had over 2,000 signatures so far with the story reported by multiple UK media channels including The Independent.

Apple is not the only company which uses the nerd emoji and Apple have so far refused to comment on the story.

However, Google and Facebook have both redesigned their own nerd emoji to remove the buck teeth in favor of a more general face with glasses.
