Why Emily West is Country Music’s Answer to Jessica Rabbit

Only a brave woman would surely publicly liken herself to the cartoon sex symbol Jessica Rabbit, but that’s exactly what the up-and-coming country music singer Emily West has done. And, to her credit, we can easily see why…

The America’s Got Talent runner-up obviously feels an affinity with Roger Rabbit’s girlfriend, as she has also enthused about the “Jessica Rabbit kind of melody” that she heard when writing her song “Bitter”. That song, which you can listen to here, has actually been released as the first single from her debut album, All For You.

We can definitely understand the comparisons, though; both Emily and Jessica (yes, we know one of them doesn’t actually exist) boast an alluring yet classy beauty that can wow people of either sex. They are also both undeniably gifted performers – though, sadly, Bob Hoskins is no longer around to watch Emily command a stage…

You, though, can direct your ears to Emily’s beautiful sounds after buying her album, All For You, through iTunes. You can also read more about the lovely Emily and the album by picking up the current issue of AppleMagazine – you can subscribe to read it now on your iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch.
