Windows 11 will come to macOS with Parallels

Windows 11

Parallels has confirmed plans to bring Windows 11 to the Mac.

The virtualisation software team has confirmed that they’re working on bringing Microsoft’s new operating system to the Mac, but with no release date for Windows 11 in sight just yet, Parallels can’t give any specifics on timings.

Speaking to iMore, Nick Dobrovolskiy, Parallels’ SVP of engineering and support, said: “Since Windows 11 has just been announced recently, the Parallels Engineering team is waiting for the official Windows 11 Insider Preview build to start studying changes introduced in the new OS to deliver full compatibility in future Parallels Desktop updates.

The company last updated its software in April to support Apple’s new M1-powered machines, and the firm is already working on changes and tweaks to make the most out of Apple’s next-generation OS, Monterey.

If you want to try out the Windows 11 beta and can’t wait for Parallels, you can use Boot Camp on Intel Macs.

Are you looking forward to Windows 11? Will you make use of Parallel’s new software? Let us know and check back soon for more updates.
