Players will have to face a new threat – Xal’atath. She had disappeared from the game for a while, but now she has returned to carry out her dark plans. The new expansion, World of Warcraft: The War Within, has brought many fresh mechanics and changes to old systems, making the gameplay even more varied and engaging. In addition, the expansion introduced new content — new zones to explore, a massive raid with unique bosses, and dungeons.
New Game Zones
Each new expansion brings previously inaccessible lands to Azeroth. In this expansion, four such zones have been added, each featuring unique landscapes, inhabitants, and new resources for crafting exclusive consumables and items. These zones are conveniently located, allowing for quick travel between them.
Isle of Dorn
This is the very first zone players will encounter, as it marks the beginning of their new adventures. The region is filled with mountainous areas covered in lush nature. Here, you will meet the ancient Earthen race. These beings resemble dwarves but have tough, stone-like skin. Their capital, Dornogal, is an important hub for both the Horde and the Alliance, serving as a central neutral zone.
The Ringing Deeps
They represent a vast system of caves where the Machine Speakers reside. In this place, the Earthen worked to maintain the functioning of ancient Titan machinery.
Hallowfall
This underground zone is a massive cave illuminated by a giant crystal embedded in its ceiling. The light from this crystal enabled the area to flourish with greenery and grow essential crops, allowing the Arathi civilization to live peacefully.
Azj-Kahet
This is the home of the Nerubians. This zone is the last kingdom of this ancient race; unfortunately, most of its inhabitants will be your enemies. Queen Ansurek has allied with Xal’atath and is helping her carry out her plans.
New Level Cup
The new expansion has increased the maximum number of levels from 70 to 80. This will allow you to further develop your character and unlock new mechanics, one of which is Hero Talents
Hero Talents
Heroic Talents are a new character progression system that adds unique abilities or enhancements. Starting at level 71, players unlock access to three types of Heroic Talent trees and begin leveling up the one they choose. For each new level up to level 80, the player earns one talent point. A total of 10 points are needed to fully upgrade a tree. Heroic Talent trees can be switched depending on the player’s needs.
Warbands
This new squad system enhances your interaction with alts, making character leveling simpler and faster. Thanks to this innovation, you no longer need to grind reputation separately for each character. Players earn shared experience that is tied to their account rather than individual characters. It also allows you to exchange valuable resources and items between your characters. If a great item drops in a dungeon but doesn’t suit your current character’s class, you can pass it to one of your alts. This shows the developers’ appreciation for your time, aiming to optimize it as much as possible.
Delves
This new form of content consists of short adventures lasting 10-20 minutes in a cave. These adventures involve 1 to 5 players. If you cannot gather a full team, a special companion will assist you. You can assign this companion any missing role, such as a tank or healer. Your goal is to navigate through the location, complete specific tasks, and defeat the final boss. Upon reaching level 80 and completing the campaign, you will unlock Bountiful Delves, which rewards you with a Bountiful Coffer. To open it, you need to obtain a Restored Coffer Key.
Delves & Great Vault
Each week, you can now earn gear by completing delves. To unlock all three slots for gear selection, you need to complete 3, 6, and 12 delves, respectively. You can find the Great Vault storage in Dornogal at coordinates 54.7, 42.1. This change may not be to everyone’s liking, because players will no longer be able to receive weekly PvP gear, making the Great Vault a source solely for PvE items.
New Dungeons
The new expansion has brought us 8 new dungeons, 4 of which you can introduce while leveling up your character, and others after reaching the maximum level.
Level-up Dungeons | Max-level Dungeons |
The Rookery | Cinderbrew Meadery |
The Stonevault | Darkflame Cleft |
Priory of the Sacred Flame | The Dawnbreaker |
City of Threads | Ara-Kara, City of Echoes |
New Raid: Nerub’ar Palace
In the new raid, called Nerub’ar Palace, players will venture into the Azj-Kahet zone, at the heart of the City of Threads, to stop Queen Ansurek and her alliance with the ancient entity Xal’atath. Your objective is to defeat the queen and her minions. The raid features 8 unique bosses, each with distinct fight mechanics. The battles occur on various levels of the palace, allowing you to fully explore its architecture. Below is the list of all the bosses:
- Ulgrax the Devourer
- The Bloodbound Horror
- Sikran
- Rasha’nan
- Broodtwister Ovi’nax
- Nexus-Princess Ky’veza
- The Silken Court: Anub’arash and Skeinspinner Takazj
- Queen Ansurek
The raid will open on September 10, so you can prepare for its start or order World of Warcraft carry for its passage.
Cross-Server Guilds
In the World of Warcraft: The War Within expansion, the developers introduced the ability to create cross-server guilds, which is a significant innovation for players. Now, guilds can include members from different servers, opening up many more opportunities for interaction and content completion. This feature makes it easier to find new participants for raids, dungeons, and PvP, without being limited to players on a single server. As a result, organizing regular events, finding active players, and supporting guild development becomes much simpler.
Boosting Services in the New Addition
As with previous expansions, WoW boost services will continue to support players by helping them tackle new challenges. These services will offer assistance with raid completions, including Nerub’ar Palace, running Mythic+ dungeons, leveling characters, and acquiring rare rewards such as achievements, mounts, and gear. This is particularly useful for those who lack the time or desire to handle routine preparatory tasks. With WoW boosting services, you’ll always stay competitive and enjoy the most important aspects of the game for you.
Summary
All these changes, along with the new content, will allow players to dive into new challenges and open up new horizons for both solo adventures and group content. The new zones, dungeons, and raids offer fresh trials, while the Warbands system and Heroic Talents simplify leveling and make characters more versatile. With these innovations, players will be able to develop their heroes more efficiently and enjoy the game with maximum comfort, whether through solo exploration or utilizing WoW boost services.
