As noted by GameSpot, Xbox One system updates tend to be released to Preview Program members before the wider public. The next update, which is due in February, has been long-awaited; besides a small “behind the scenes” tweak this month, the last system update was in November.
However, the delay was deliberate on Microsoft’s part, the firm having cited a desire to avert the disruption that could have arisen with bringing out a new major update during the busy holiday season.
