Apple has announced a significant upgrade to its popular Logic Pro X software.
The Cupertino company took to its Newsroom to share details about new features, such as Live Loops, which was accidentally leaked earlier in the year, as reported by AppleMagazine.
The software has also been given an overhauled design for sampling workflows and new tools for making beats.
When combined, the new 10.5 release is āmassiveā for musicians.
Speaking of the software update, Susan Prescott, Appleās vice president of Apps Product Marketing, said that āThe Mac and Logic Pro X are essential tools used by the worldās top musicians and producers to create the music that we all love.ā
āLogic Pro X 10.5 represents the biggest update to Logic since the launch of Logic Pro X, with powerful new tools that will inspire every artist ā from those just getting started with Logic, to those already using it to produce Grammy Award-winning albums. We canāt wait to hear what these artists create next.ā
Perhaps one of the biggest features to come to the software is Live Loops, which allows musicians to create music in freeform, nonlinear ways.
Apple says that recordings, loops, and samples can be organized into a new grid for music, and tracks can be refined in new ways. Together, this should lead to more creativity and help musicians create stunning work.
The software has also been further optimized to take advantage of some of the latest Mac hardware and macOS features. With Apple dropping several powerful machines in recent years, most specifically the Mac Pro, the new Logic Pro X can take advantage of this new performance and make even the most demanding of projects a walk in the park, with users able to add in hundreds of real-time plugins to create more refined music and sounds.
