Apple today sent the media invites for its next special event. Set to be held on March 21, the event is expected to see the unveiling of the 4-inch iPhone SE, 9.7-inch iPad Pro and new Apple Watch bands.
This will all, according to MacRumors, take place at the Town Hall auditorium of Apple’s Cupertino campus in California. The event, which the Apple website will live stream to iOS devices, Mac, Apple TV and the Edge browser on Windows 10, will commence at 10am Pacific Time.
The invite itself is, in typical Apple style, wonderfully cryptic. The opening words read “Let us loop you in” – possibly a hint at the new Apple Watch bands. These have, unsurprisingly, attracted less rumor and attention than the expected new iPhone and iPad; however, the invite text in particular suggests that they could provide some of the biggest surprises on March 21.
As previously reported extensively by AppleMagazine, the iPhone SE is expected to come with an A9 chip, Apple Pay support and Live Photos, but also a lower price than the iPhone 6S series. Meanwhile, the 9.7-inch iPad Pro should have four speakers, a flash-equipped back camera and Apple Pencil support.
