Apple, marking World AIDS Day, has re-emphasized its enduring alliance with (RED), a partnership that has amassed over $250 million since 2006.
The tech giant is promoting its (PRODUCT)RED items, which include the Apple Watch Series 9, iPhone 14 series, iPhone 13, iPhone SE, and various accessories such as the Silicone Case with MagSafe for the iPhone 14 and 13 lines. Sales of these products contribute a part of their proceeds to the Global Fund, supporting the fight against AIDS and COVID-19.
In a unique move this year, Apple has pledged to donate all proceeds from specific in-app purchases in MONOPOLY GO!, Gardenscapes, and EA Sports FC Mobile to the Global Fund. These in-app items range from exclusive avatars and shields to star soccer players. Apple stated in its press release that this initiative would run from December 1 until December 4.
Furthermore, Apple has committed to donating $1 for every transaction made using Apple Pay on its website, via the Apple Store app, or in physical Apple Store locations, until December 8.
To increase awareness about World AIDS Day and the ongoing battle against HIV and AIDS, numerous Apple Store retail locations worldwide are featuring special window and product displays. Apple is also using its digital platforms, including the App Store, Apple Books, Apple Music, and the Apple TV app, to educate customers about AIDS.
This initiative by Apple reflects the company’s dedication to social responsibility and its role in global health efforts, showcasing how corporate partnerships can make a tangible impact in critical areas like health and humanitarian aid.
