With the release of iOS 16.4, iPadOS 16.4, macOS 13.3, and tvOS 16.4 updates, Apple has expanded its support for gaming controllers, now including compatibility with Sony’s recently launched PlayStation 5 DualSense Edge wireless controller.
The gaming experience on Apple devices has seen significant advancements in recent years, owing to the powerful A-series and M-series chips found in the latest iPhone and Mac models, as well as the increased speeds provided by 5G connectivity.
This has enabled users to enjoy console-level gaming on devices such as the iPhone 14, Apple Silicon Macs, and various iPad models, including the iPad Pro (2022), iPad mini 6, and iPad Air.
Apple Arcade offers a diverse selection of both classic and contemporary games that can be played across iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Apple TV devices. The addition of support for third-party wireless controllers further elevates the gaming experience on Apple’s platforms.
