Apple Pay becomes available to more small online stores

Thanks to integration with the ecommerce service Weebly, you’ll now be able to checkout at more online stores with Apple Pay.

At present, Weebly powers more than 45 million online businesses throughout the world and it has been found that more than 40% of transactions are completed on a mobile device.

During their research into payment processes and techniques, the company found that a huge amount of customers are abandoning their transaction because of an overly complicated process. It is hoped that the integration with Apple Pay will address this issue:

The integration will support digital small business owners with the most up to date transactional technology. Apple Pay is a faster and safer checkout process that eliminates checkout forms and the need to transmit credit card information, and  provides a mobile optimized user experience that makes paying online easier than ever.

David Rusenko, Founder and CEO of Weebly stated “The process of paying and checking out shouldn’t have to be a difficult one. Apple Pay makes checking out online a frictionless experience and this integration is another way we are creating more opportunities for our entrepreneurs, empowering their online stores with the latest technology to help them land more happy customers and, of course, more sales.”

Integration should reach the majority of Weebly-powered stores in the next few weeks but merchants still need to be connected to the Stripe payment gateway to benefit from Apple Pay support.
