Apple Service Price Increases Hit Music and Apple One Apple service price increases raise Apple Music and two Apple One plans in the U.S., while iCloud+, Apple TV and other subscriptions remain unchanged.

Apple One | Subscription Plan

Apple service price increases have reached Apple Music and two Apple One bundles in the United States. The latest adjustment raises the cost of individual, family and student Apple Music subscriptions, while Apple One Family and Premier each become $2 more expensive per month.

The Apple One Individual plan remains at $19.95 per month. U.S. iCloud+ storage prices have also remained unchanged, despite growing expectations that cloud storage could join the latest round of subscription increases.

Apple says rising music licensing costs are behind the Apple Music adjustment. The new prices arrive nearly four years after the service’s previous U.S. increase in October 2022.

The changes are modest for one subscriber but become more noticeable across a household paying for storage, entertainment, apps and additional services separately. They also make it useful to review whether Apple One continues to provide a meaningful discount or simply bundles subscriptions that are no longer being used.

Apple Music Receives the Largest Increase

Apple Music Individual now costs $11.99 per month, up from $10.99. The Student plan rises from $5.99 to $6.99.

The largest increase applies to Apple Music Family, which moves from $16.99 to $19.99 per month. That represents an additional $36 per year for a household sharing the service through Family Sharing.

Apple Music includes access to the full streaming catalog, Spatial Audio, lossless audio, music videos, live radio and personal library synchronization. Apple does not offer a permanent free advertising-supported tier, although new subscribers may receive a trial.

The individual increase amounts to $12 per year, while students will also pay $12 more annually. Family subscribers absorb the sharpest change because their annual cost rises from $203.88 to $239.88.

Apple attributed the increase to rising licensing costs. Music services pay rights holders based on agreements covering recordings, publishing and distribution, making subscription pricing partly dependent on costs outside the platform’s direct control.

Apple One Family and Premier Also Cost More

Apple One combines several subscriptions into one monthly payment. The latest Apple service price increases affect the two plans intended for households.

Apple One Family now costs $27.95 per month, up from $25.95. It includes Apple Music Family, Apple TV, Apple Arcade and 200GB of iCloud+ storage, shared with up to five other people.

Buying those services separately would now cost $42.96 per month:

  • iCloud+ 200GB: $2.99
  • Apple TV: $12.99
  • Apple Music Family: $19.99
  • Apple Arcade: $6.99

The bundle therefore saves approximately $15 per month when the household actively uses all four services.

Apple One Premier rises from $37.95 to $39.95 per month. It includes Apple Music Family, Apple TV, Apple Arcade, Apple Fitness+, Apple News+ and 2TB of iCloud+ storage.

The same subscriptions would cost $72.94 per month separately, giving the Premier plan a theoretical monthly saving of about $33.

That calculation assumes every included service would otherwise be purchased. A family using only Apple Music and iCloud+ may spend less by avoiding the bundle, even when Apple presents a large combined saving.

Apple One Individual Avoids the Increase

Apple One Individual remains at $19.95 per month. It includes Apple Music Individual, Apple TV, Apple Arcade and 50GB of iCloud+ storage.

The services now carry a combined standalone value of $32.96 per month:

  • iCloud+ 50GB: $0.99
  • Apple TV: $12.99
  • Apple Music Individual: $11.99
  • Apple Arcade: $6.99

The unchanged bundle becomes slightly more attractive because Apple Music now costs $1 more when purchased separately. Someone already paying for Apple Music and Apple TV would spend $24.98 per month on those two services alone, making Apple One Individual less expensive while also adding Arcade and 50GB of storage.

The limitation is that 50GB may be insufficient for users with large photo libraries or several device backups. Apple allows Apple One subscribers to purchase additional iCloud+ storage separately, but the combined total should be considered before assuming the bundle is the cheapest option.

iCloud+ Prices Remain Unchanged in the U.S.

The latest increases do not currently affect U.S. iCloud+ plans. Apple continues to charge:

  • 50GB: $0.99 per month
  • 200GB: $2.99 per month
  • 2TB: $9.99 per month
  • 6TB: $29.99 per month
  • 12TB: $59.99 per month

All paid tiers include iCloud Private Relay, Hide My Email, custom email domain support and HomeKit Secure Video capacity determined by the selected plan. Storage can be shared with up to five other family members.

The 50GB and 200GB plans have remained among Apple’s least expensive subscriptions, though modern photo libraries and device backups can fill them quickly. The 2TB plan remains the most practical standalone tier for families or users with several Apple devices.

Apple One storage can be combined with a separate iCloud+ subscription. A Premier subscriber receiving 2TB through the bundle can add another 2TB, 6TB or 12TB plan when more capacity is needed.

Other Apple Services Hold Their Prices

Apple TV remains $12.99 per month following its earlier increase. Apple Arcade remains $6.99, while Apple Fitness+ continues at $9.99 per month or $79.99 annually.

Apple News+ remains $12.99 per month. Availability varies by country, which is one reason Apple One Premier is offered in fewer markets than the Individual and Family plans.

The absence of increases across these services does not guarantee prices will remain fixed. Apple has adjusted different subscriptions at different times rather than moving the entire portfolio together.

Users should check the renewal notice associated with their Apple Account, particularly when subscribed through regional stores with different currencies and tax rules. Price changes may also reach countries at different times.

Which Apple One Plan Offers the Best Value?

Apple One Individual now provides the easiest value calculation. A user paying for Apple Music and Apple TV already exceeds the bundle’s $19.95 monthly price. Arcade and 50GB of iCloud+ become additions without raising the total.

Apple One Family is compelling when at least two people use Apple Music and the household also wants Apple TV or Arcade. The $27.95 price remains lower than Apple Music Family and Apple TV purchased together, which would cost $32.98.

Premier works best for households already using Fitness+, News+ and substantial iCloud storage. Its $39.95 price is only $12 more than Family while adding 1.8TB of storage, Fitness+ and News+.

Users paying for services they rarely open should ignore the advertised maximum saving and compare the bundle only with subscriptions they would genuinely retain.

To review current subscriptions:

Settings > your name > Subscriptions

Apple One can be changed or canceled from the same area. Existing access normally continues until the end of the paid billing period.

The latest Apple service price increases make Apple Music more expensive on its own while strengthening the mathematical appeal of Apple One. The decision still depends on usage: bundles save money only when the included services replace subscriptions a household would have purchased anyway.
