The second generation Apple Watch will be formally unveiled at an event in March, 9to5Mac has reported. The rumored in-the-works 4-inch iPhone might also appear, according to sources.
Citing unnamed “sources with knowledge of the plans”, the news site claims that, after its big reveal, the second version of the Apple Watch will start shipping by April. This seems very plausible, as it would be roughly a year after the debut model first hit the market, and would put the product line on the same yearly upgrade cycle as the iPhone.
On the subject of the iPhone, the same sources have indicated that the oft talked-about new 4-inch version, previously dubbed the “iPhone 6C”, could also be revealed at the same event.
A March product launch event could become a new annual tradition for Apple, in the wake of its Spring Forward event in the same month earlier this year, where the original Apple Watch and a redesigned Retina display MacBook were announced. And, next March, could we even expect to see the iPad Air 3 make its belated appearance?
