Apple’s new over-ear headphones to be called AirPods Studio

Apple’s new over-ear headphones could be called AirPods Studio, according to a report.

Jon Prosser, who shares leaked and insider information on the YouTube channel Front Page Tech, has suggested that Apple’s new branded headphones would follow the AirPods brand.

He also suggested that they would retail for $349 in the United States, making them more expensive than a typical pair of Beats headphones but comparable to rival manufacturers.

Apple is reportedly keen on keeping the new headphones as part of the AirPods brand, following their widespread success around the world.

Adding Studio to the end would give Apple an advantage and allow them to target professionals such as musicians and editors.

The company previously added to the AirPods family in October with the launch of the AirPods Pro which have reportedly been so popular that Apple is working on a new low-cost Pro model with comfort and style in mind, rumored to be called the AirPods Pro Lite.

By pricing the new Studio models at $349, Apple is in direct competition with the likes of Sony and Bose, who offer their own premium over-ear noise-canceling headphones, too.

Prosser has a proven track record when it comes to Apple news.

He recently predicted that the company would launch the new iPhone SE on April 15 and that Apple would introduce a new 13-inch MacBook Pro in May. He is also suggesting that watchOS 7 and the next version of the Apple Watch could come with new mental health monitoring capabilities.
