Apple has announced that its 27th annual Worldwide Developers Conference will take place from June 12 to 17 in San Francisco. It’s a key date in Apple’s calendar, as it will almost definitely include the unveiling of the next major versions of iOS, OS X, watchOS and tvOS.
Those new versions should be publicly shown off for the first time at the conference’s opening keynote on Monday, June 12 at the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium. The rest of the conference sessions across the week will be delivered at Moscone West.
Phil Schiller, Apple’s senior vice president of Worldwide Marketing, declared: “WWDC 2016 is going to be a landmark event for developers who are coding in Swift, and building apps and products for iOS, OS X, watchOS and tvOS. We can’t wait for everyone to join us — in San Francisco or through the live stream.”
For a chance of getting tickets to the conference, developers must apply through the WWDC website; tickets will be issued to select applicants by random allocation. This year’s WWDC sessions will also be live streamed via the WWDC website and WWDC app for iOS.
