Chris Evans Shows Romantic Side in New Drama Before We Go

Think of the Boston-born actor Chris Evans and his blockbuster roles as Marvel superheroes Captain America and Johnny Storm of the Fantastic Four likely immediately spring to mind. However, he takes on a much more – literally as well as spiritually – down-to-earth role in his recently-released directorial debut, the touching romantic drama Before We Go.

Evans plays Nick Vaughan, a saxophone player who inadvertently bumps into Brooke Dalton, played by British actress Alice Eve, at New York City’s Grand Central. They are both stuck there, but could this turn out to be a blessing in disguise for them? It probably won’t surprise you to learn that, despite their initially fractious relationship, love soon begins to blossom…

Whereas Evans’ best-known movies are exhilarating summer features, Before We Go is a cozy little story that makes an ideal watch for a quiet Sunday afternoon. Before you decide whether to download it from iTunes, you can subscribe to AppleMagazine to read more about the film in our current issue.
