Apple TV+ is set to premiere Constellation, a captivating psychological thriller drama with a conspiracy twist, on February 21. The show features a stellar cast led by Noomi Rapace, renowned for her roles in The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo and You Won’t Be Alone, along with Emmy nominee Jonathan Banks, famous for Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul.
The ensemble also includes talents such as James D’Arcy, Julian Looman, William Catlett, and Barbara Sukowa.
The narrative of Constellation revolves around a space expedition gone awry. Rapace portrays Jo, who confronts the aftermath of a space calamity, embarking on a harrowing journey to uncover the obscured truths of space exploration’s history. Her character is on a relentless quest to reclaim what was lost in space, exploring the shadowy realms of human psychology.
Peter Harness, known for his work on Wallander, The War of the Worlds, and Doctor Who, is the creative force behind this series, bringing his storytelling expertise to the forefront. Directing the series is Emmy Award winner Michelle MacLaren, who has previously collaborated with Apple TV+ on projects like Shining Girls and The Morning Show.
Constellation stands out as one of the most costly productions in Europe and the largest TV project ever undertaken in Finland.
The production faced financial controversies, with reports in August indicating that the show had accumulated over one million euros in unpaid debts in Finland, long after the filming concluded.
