Don’t Install Windows 10 on Our Notebooks Yet, Warns Samsung

If you’ve got a Samsung notebook with a version of Windows nagging you to upgrade to Windows 10, there’s good reason to resist, as Samsung has warned that its customers should not go ahead with it.

Owners of Samsung notebooks have long complained about difficulties in installing or using Windows 10 on their machines, with Microsoft’s flagship operating system often found to be incompatible with components. Nearly a year after that system’s debut, these problems seemingly remain unresolved.

A reader of United Kingdom-based tech news site The Register has revealed how, frustrated by problems he had encountered with Windows 10 on his Samsung NP-R590 device, he had got in touch with Samsung only for the company’s UK support to tell him, as quoted by The Register:

“Honestly speaking, we don’t suggest installation of Windows 10 to any Samsung notebook or PC and we are still coordinating with Microsoft regarding to this matter. The drivers that we have on our website are not yet compatible to the latest version of Windows.”

The company apparently didn’t provide a timetable for when those drivers will finally be updated, which won’t impress Samsung customers given how long they have already been left waiting.
