Automaker Faraday Future will start shipping its first production car, the FF 91 electric SUV, to customers by the end of 2018. However, the company is already sating our curiosity by offering a new, web-based “3D Tour” of the vehicle, letting people learn more about its design and technology.
In an email recently sent out to mailing list subscribers, Faraday Future declares that the tour “highlights the design, technology and performance of this most unique new species of EV”. You can also enjoy a “sneak peek” at the electric vehicle’s battery pack, lighting and 4-wheel steering.
There’s also an insight into the model’s 3 electric motor powertrain and aerodynamic design if you load up the 3D tour on Faraday Future’s website. A digitized depiction of the car appears and can be swiveled around as you click on various headings listed down a right-hand navigation bar.
The FF 91 has had a troubled journey towards production since the vehicle was shown off at the Las Vegas-based CES conference in January 2017. However, Faraday’s factory in Hanford, California recently added the finishing touches to the car’s first body-in-white example.
Recent rounds of fundraising have paved the way for Faraday to fulfill 64,000 orders for the FF 91, says the UK Autocar website. You can reserve your own FF 91 through the Faraday website.
