Apple has officially launched its new Fitness+ experience, designed to help Apple Watch users stay motivated with new studio-style workouts across on Apple TV, iPhone, and iPad.
The new service uses data from Apple Watch to improve the workout experience on iPhones, iPads, and Apple TVs, offering personalized and immersive workouts that are set to motivating music from some of the worldās biggest artists.
The company has partnered with fitness instructors and trainers from around the world, offering classes in a whole host of disciplines including strength, HIIT, cycling, core, rowing, mindfulness, and dance.
Apple says that Fitness+ offers something for everyone, regardless of ability, and itās available for $9.99 per month or $79.99 per year. One subscription can be shared amongst up to six family members under the Apple Family Sharing Scheme, and anyone with an Apple Watch can experience a month of Fitness+ for free. Anyone with an Apple Watch Series 3 or later will enjoy three months of Fitness+ for free, great if youāre upgrading.
The company has also highlighted some extended partnerships as part of Fitness+, with users who purchase an Apple Watch from Best Buy receiving an additional three monthsā free service (for a combined total for six months free), whilst Life Time will offer Fitness+ as part of its memberships. From January, UnitedHealthcare will offer five months of free Fitness+ membership to its UnitedHealthcare Motion enrollees.
Fitness+ is also included in the Apple One Premier plan, offering access to Fitness+, Apple Music, Apple TV+, Apple Arcade, Apple News+ and 2 terabytes of iCloud storage for just $29.95, shared with up to six family members.
