iPhone 17 Rumored to Introduce New Slim Model Above Pro Max with ‘Major Redesign’ Apple is reportedly developing a new, slimmer iPhone 17 model with a major redesign, set to be the highest-end device in its lineup, surpassing the Pro Max.

iPhone 16

According to The Information, Apple plans to launch an iPhone 17 model next year featuring a significantly thinner design. This new model, rumored to be priced higher than the Pro Max, would become the most premium offering, potentially exceeding the Pro Max’s starting price of $1,199.

The iPhone 17 is expected to undergo a major redesign reminiscent of the iPhone X. Changes could include relocating the rear cameras from the top-left corner to the top center and introducing a narrower Dynamic Island.

The device will likely have a display size between 6.1 inches and 6.7 inches. Other speculated features are an aluminum chassis, an A19 chip, and an upgraded front camera.

iPhone 15 Pro Max

As part of this release, Apple reportedly does not plan to introduce an iPhone 17 Plus next year, thereby maintaining a four-model lineup.

This rumor of a slimmer iPhone 17 model follows previous reports from Apple supply chain analyst Jeff Pu and display industry expert Ross Young, who suggested the device will feature a 6.5-inch screen.

The report also notes that Apple is still testing multiple designs for the iPhone 17, and potential delays could push the release beyond 2025.
