Despite fresh evidence yesterday that the 4-inch iPhone SE could adopt curved edges like the iPhone 6S, two newer reports suggest the contrary: that the iPhone SE will look virtually identical to the iPhone 5S and, therefore, be compatible with many of that 2013-release model’s cases.
In a YouTube video posted today, MobileFunTV finds that bumper and shield cases manufactured by X-Doria – and labelled as intended for the 4-inch iPhone expected to be announced on Monday – faultlessly fit an iPhone 5S. This suggests that the case examined in yesterday’s video by Unbox Therapy might have been built in response to rumors or a prototype device.
Further supporting these conclusions is a 9to5Mac report that, according to reliable writer Mark Gurman’s sources, the iPhone SE will look “almost exactly the same” as the iPhone 5S. These sources add that, though the new phone’s front edges could be “very slightly” curved, they are not noticeably so.
