Apple has recently been showcasing the capabilities of the iPhone 7 camera, and on Tuesday it released a new video campaign, focusing on the ‘memories’ feature on the photos app, which has undergone a revamp, allowing you to showcase your memories into short films quicker than ever.
‘The Archives’
The campaign began with a video entitled ‘The Archives’ demonstrating a worker searching through a series of short videos. The video culminates in him creating a film, displayed on a projector before the video transforms to portray the same film on an iPhone 7. The tag line ‘practically magic’ accompanies the video, as it did with their other recent videos advertising the iPhone 7 camera.
The video has since been followed by three tutorial videos, explaining how to use new features in memories to creature your own short films, based on the location or date of your photos.
New features for memories
Apple recently outline big changes for apps such as memories, to come when iOS 11 is released in the Autumn. Memories will be able to create films based on event, using computer vision. This could be anything from parties to sports to a collection of photos of your pet.
You will also have more control over your memories, and will be able to set the mood, length, title and music of your film.
